UNU-MERIT, Maastricht, netherlands

The United Nations University – Maastricht Economic and Social Research Institute on Innovation and Technology (UNU-MERIT) is a research and training institute of the United Nations University (UNU) which collaborates closely with Maastricht University. UNU-MERIT aims to advance societal policy and innovation research, provide education and mobilise knowledge in order to unlock the full potential of innovation for achieving inclusive sustainable development. 


Getting Here

Our closest airports are Maastricht Aachen, Amsterdam Schiphol, Brussels, Brussels South Charleroi and Düsseldorf; all of these have train or bus connections to Maastricht’s main train station (which is situated in the city centre, only a 20 minute walk / 7 minute bus ride away from UNU-MERIT). 

If you don’t need to fly, there are also many train, bus and car-sharing services that reach Maastricht from across Europe.
